My thoughts on birth announcements
If you are old enough to remember a far simpler time not so long ago, birth announcements were typically written on paper and dropped in the mailbox to be sent to anyone of several recipients. Nevertheless, the rise of the Internet as a ubiquitous platform for virtually every type of social mode of communication has resulted in birth announcements having made the transition to cyberspace as well. While it was once unheard of to send out or receive birth announcements through electronic means, such practices have become popular enough to become something of the norm nowadays. In fact it wouldn't be surprising if most birth announcements would be transmitted electronically in the future. That being said, there really isn't a risk of traditional birth announcements disappearing anytime soon.
