I have often run into blog directories that require me to post backlinks or impose certain other requirements. I tend to shy away from those blog directories, and instead I tried to submit my blog to blog directories that were a lot less rigid. Most blog directories let you go through the submission process fairly quickly, while others may require a lot more time.
